Quantum + Beer
Thursday, November 1
7:30 pm
Patent Social - 17 Erb Street East, Waterloo
Experience the unique combination of quantum physics and craft beer and learn how they are anecdotally intertwined.
The host of this interactive evening will be Martin Laforest, scientific outreach advisor to the Institute for Quantum Computing and quantum technology expert at ISARA Corporation. Officially, Martin's role is to bring science out of the lab and into people’s lives. Unofficially, he is the talkative guy who is passionate about quantum technologies and likes to share it with curious minds.
Martin has always been fascinated with trying to understand how the world works. That led him to earn an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Physics at McGill University and later, a PhD in quantum physics from the University of Waterloo.
Presented by the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Royal Canadian Institute for Science.
Register for this event online. Admission is free. Beer flights will be available for purchase.
