Quantum for Educators notes and lessons

Bring quantum to your classroom, club, or home with ready-made lesson plans and activities. Introduced at Quantum for Educators, these lesson plans have been developed for high-school classrooms by quantum experts from IQC with feedback from experienced educators.

Topics covered include superposition, quantum measurement, quantum communication, quantum computing, wave-particle duality and the uncertainty principle. Students will learn:

  • quantum cryptography examined through light polarization,
  • how to implement a simple quantum algorithm with laser interference,
  • how we can use quantum uncertainty to make precise measurements, and more!

You can also find educator guides and materials for hands-on activities, including a 3D-printed laser-based quantum key distribution kit, card games exploring quantum search algorithms and qubit measurement, and a quantum circuit simulator.
