The Library invites the University of Waterloo community to submit works on the theme of Transforming spaces, kicking off the new Art in the Library initiative.
For the past two years, University of Waterloo Library has been making dramatic changes to the Davis Centre and Dana Porter libraries. Increasing and repurposing spaces to create a new Learning lab, study rooms, lounge spaces and a reflection room. With these changes to Library space comes the desire to open up Library space to showcase the creativity of our community. Learn more about Art in the Library.
The Transforming spaces exhibition will be on display in the Davis Centre Library silent study room during the winter and spring terms. Stay tuned for more information about the exhibition opening.
Submissions will be accepted from any member of the University of Waterloo community - students, staff, faculty and others. The theme Transforming spaces can be interpreted in any medium, although the work must be ready to hang. To apply, artists must complete the submission form, including one high-resolution image of the work. Submissions must br received by the end of day on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Keep your eye out for our next call for submissions - with a brand new theme - later this summer!
