The Library has purchased a new subscription to the standards aggregator, TechStreet. Replacing our CSA subscription service, TechStreet provides full CSA and partial ISO standard coverage, among others. Standards and codes are fundamental building blocks to innovation and advances in technology, and are critical resources for students and even staff across campus.
Some of the many benefits of a standards aggregator include:
- Better customer service
- The ability to create a custom collection of standards from various international standards organizations
- The ability to provide digital rights management (DRM)-free access to standards
The ability to create a custom collection of standards from various international organizations was a driving force behind our change in providers. The Library often receives requests for standards from organizations we don’t subscribe to, and were previously unable to provide. With TechStreet, we hope to better meet these needs in the future.
