Staff holding games

Student Engagement Committee co-chairs, Mary Lynne and Ryan, show off some of the new additions to the board game collection.

The Student Engagement Committee is excited to announce some excellent new additions to the Library's ever-growing board game collection.

Not only are these titles crazy fun and perfect for procrastinating, they're also good for your brain and mental health!

Study's have shown that playing board games can:

  • improve your cognitive skills by employing logic, math, abstract thinking and problem solving
  • reduce stress and promote relaxation
  • improve depression, and reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness
  • lower the risk of developing dementia by 15%

Do yourself and your mind a favour, and take a break with a deck of cards or one of these popular games! All games can be borrowed for 3 days.
