We are pleased to welcome Beverly Hershey as the Library's new associate director of advancement.
Bev had been seconded to the position of manager, library advancement since August 2013. Prior to her secondment, she was an associate director in the Office of Advancement, where she worked in various capacities since coming to the University of Waterloo in 1998.
Before her arrival at UWaterloo, she had worked in various roles including: director, Community Information Centre of Waterloo Region; executive-director, Rotary Regional Adult Services; and a co-ordinator with Lutherwood Employment Counselling. Bev has a Master of Education (Adult Education), University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts, Wilfrid Laurier University.
During her secondment, Bev has provided strategic and operational support on library advancement matters, ensured continuity in donor stewardship, collaborated closely with many of you on advancement opportunities, and helped lay the groundwork for a reinvigorated advancement programme in the Library. Her experience and leadership together with her knowledge of the University and the broader community will continue to serve the University of Waterloo well.
