Interested in how you can view your favourite newspaper online, as it appears in print, only without the inky fingers? The Library's subscription of PressDisplay by PressReader can help! PressDisplay is a resource that provides instant access to over 2,000 newspapers, from 100 countries, in 60 languages.

PressDisplay interface

Self-described as the “world’s largest online newspaper kiosk,” PressDisplay provides full page image access to newspapers, permitting you to search across papers or view them page by page in full colour, full-page format.

PressDisplay's SmartNavigation splits the article into sections and allows you to jump into any section or page you would want to. In addition, it also allows for an article to be viewed in plain text for easy copying and pasting.

Additional features permit you to:

  • Download titles for offline viewing
  • Translate articles “on the fly” in up to 10 major languages
  • Listen to articles on your computer or mobile phone
  • Catch up on missed papers with a rolling 60-day back file
  • View Article Rank, which increases the more time readers have spent reading an article

The Library's subscription covers the entire scope of PressDisplay's offerings, with a cap of 5 simultaneous users.
