Two specimen leaves from the works of Aristotle in Ancient Greek. These leaves make up part of the works of Theophrastus, a student of Aristotle.

A collection of 62 speeches by Ancient Greek orator Demosthenes. Demosthenes was the most widely read orator of the Middle Ages and Renaissance period and was celebrated for his eloquence, arrangement, and style.

This copy of the Aldus Demosthenes belonged to Charles James Fox, & it was given to me by his Widow.

Author: Giovanni Gioviano Pontano
Date: 1505

A contemporary of Manutius, Pontano was an Italian humanist and poet whose works were printed at the Aldine Press. He later translated Quadripartitum by Ptolemy.

Institutiones Oratoria spine.Title: Institutiones Oratoria
Author: Quintilian

Quintilian was a Roman rhetorician from Spain who was active in the 1st century CE. Institutiones Oratoria, a twelve volume text on rhetoric, is his only extant work.

Catullus was a Roman poet who influenced Ovid, Horace and Virgil. This books contains works not only by Catullus, but also by Tibullus, and Propertius.
