Libraries collect many different types of data, from demographic data, usage statistics to survey responses. As the amount of data grows, how can we present data and information clearly and efficiently in order to assist decision making? In this 90 minute webinar, we will discuss what data visualization is, learn different types of visualization and how to choose an effective visualization for a dataset. Last, but not least, we will explore Microsoft Power BI that enables users to create dashboards and interactive reports.
All crafters are welcome! Bring your knitting, craftwork or just join us for a chat and a cup of tea.
Join your colleagues for an open and supportive discussion about the Library’s workplace culture, practices and norms. We will be tackling topics such as email etiquette, workplace cues (e.g., What does it mean when your colleague’s door is shut? Can you interrupt?), and more! If you have a topic you would like addressed, email it to the Library’s HSW Committee.

A computer can help people do work, but not if they don't let it. There are many common ways that people get in the way of the help that a computer could give them. One cause is lack of trust: people don't always trust a computer to do the work correctly, so they'd rather do it manually. Another cause is lack of training. They naturally think and work like human beings and not like computers, and they aren't taught how computers' capabilities are different from theirs.
Do you have Human Resources (HR) questions? Pop-up HR aims to provide a better client experience to University employees by setting up at various locations around campus to answer HR questions on-site.
