Hi PACS! How is everyone doing? You've almost made it to the end of Winter 2020, hang in there you're doing great!

This weeks newsletter we have some exciting job opportunities, articles we think may interest you, an essay writing contest, and some great resources to help with working at home! 

Just because we are social distancing doesn't mean we can't still  talk! We miss seeing your faces on campus and want to keep in touch in the best way we know how... social media! Make sure you are following @pacsuwaterloo on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook! We have been having lots of fun going into the lives of PACS students, and graduates, through takeovers on Instagram! 

On March 11, three Grebel students competed in the C. Henry Smith Oratorical Contest. This Peace Speeches competition invites students from Mennonite and Be in Christ colleges and universities across Canada and the United States to present speeches exploring the application of the Christian peace position to contemporary concerns. 

We're back! So much has changed since we talked in our last newsletter.

The PACS department is delighted to announce that 12 PACS students have been selected from over 100 applicants to present at the upcoming CONAPP Conference!

Due to COVID-19 the inaugural Consortium of North American Peace Programs has been postponed to Summer 2021

March Break Open House is on Saturday March 21st, 10am-4pm. Our sample lecture series will be the highlight of this event. The goal is to give students the opportunity to get a feel for what it is to be a Faculty of Arts student at UWaterloo. 

The Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement at Conrad Grebel University College is pleased to be facilitating UWaterloo’s participation in the global Map the System challenge.

During his childhood, Theo spent 3 years living abroad in Cambodia with his family through Mennonite Central Committee.

ICPF 2020 is being hosted by Eastern Mennonite University and is a student-led peace and justice conference for Peace colleges in the U.S. and Canada.
