The
theremin
consists
of
two
capacitors;
once
contorlling
pitch
and
the
other
controlling
volume.
Changing
the
position
of
your
hands
relative
to
these
capacitors
alters
their
capacitance
and
the
two
signals
are
combined
to
produce
a
tone.
This
demonstration
is
fun
for
everyone,
but
takes
about
ten
minutes
to
calibrate
on
site.
