PSCI 299 Networking Event

On December 1, students from PSCI 299 (Political Science Beyond the Classroom) participated in a speed-networking event held in the Velocity Start space in South Campus Hall with six PSCI alumni, from both the public and private sector. Alumni included: Nasreen Garsi ('04), Director of Estate & Financial Planning Services at Sun Life Financial; Andrea Collins ('06), Assistant Professor in the School of Environment at UW; John Hill ('07), Supervisor of Economic Development for the Regional Municipality of Waterloo; Adam Smith ('07), Manager Attorney with PwC Law LLP; and Brad Moggach ('11), Business Advisor with Velocity, Business Development of Strategic Initiatives with Clearpath Robotics, Strategic Partner Manager with Google and Partner Development Manager with Buffer box. Students had the invaluable opportunity to expand their network, practice their elevator pitch and receive feedback on their resumes from experts in their chosen fields.
