"Almost
(generically)
free
of
Chevalley"
This
week,
we'll
go
through
the
gritty
details
of
Chevalley's
theorem.
Along
the
way,
we'll
see
Grothendieck's
Generic
Freeness
Lemma,
and
get
to
review
some
facts
about
rings.
We'll
then
use
this
to
prove
the
Nullstellensatz.
If
time
permits,
we'll
finish
Section
7.4
and
discuss
some
applications
in
elimination
theory.
