"Rank-2 odd degree moduli spaces of co-Higgs bundles"
Co-Higgs bundles are of great interest because they appear naturally in different areas of mathematics such as generalized geometry, and poisson geometry, to name a few. In this talk, we will start by defining the (semi)-stability on co-Higgs bundles over the complex projective line P^1, then we will find necessary and sufficient conditions on the Grothendieck numbers for the existence of stable co-Higgs fields. Moreover, we are going to show how the smooth moduli space of rank-2, odd-degree co-Higgs bundles can be interpreted as a kind of universal elliptic curve.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
