“Grassmannians”
We will finish (and clear up) our discussion about the Stiefel-Whitney class, and proceed through chapter 5 of Milnor-Stasheff. Grassmannian manifolds, as a generalization of the canonical line bundle will be introduced and analyzed, to gather background for the Chern characteristic class.
