"Complexification of operator spaces — Revisited"

Complexification is a main technical tool in the study of real spaces, it allows to pass to a canonical complex space which shares almost all structural properties with the original real space. This is such a powerful tool that it is completely natural to reflect on its primal qualities, and in particular to ask is there a more general concept with some potentially similar applications? This is the main concern of this talk. We give an answer to these questions, by offering a novel framework which generalizes the complexification, as well as the less-studied notion of quaternification of real spaces.
