“Extensions of Fourier spaces”
Suppose that H is a closed subgroup of a locally compact group G and π is a representation of H. We will consider the problem of when the Fourier space Aπ extends to a Fourier space of G in this talk, i.e., when there exists a representation σ of G so that Aσ|H = Aπ. Equivalently, this problems asks when it is possible to find a σ of representation of G so that V Nπ := π(H)′′ is canonically ∗-isomorphic to the von Neumann subalgebra σ(H)′′ of V Nσ := σ(G)′′.MC 5417 **Please Note Special Day and Time**
