“Zhang’s Theorem Implies Bounded Gaps Between Primes”

In the first talk of the learning seminar we mentioned that Yitang Zhang proved a modified version of the Bombieri-Vinogradov theorem with larger level of distribution, and that this result implies the existence of infinitely many pairs of primes of bounded distance from each other. In the following talk JC gave an overview as to how Zhang’s theorem can be proved. In this talk we proved the existence of infinitely pairs of primes within a bounded distance from each other assuming Zhang’s theorem.”
