Geometric Analysis Working Seminar
Organizational Meeting
This term we will be running a geometric analysis working seminar. We plan to go through two papers (at least) during the term. One is on David Ebin's slice theorm for the moduli space of Riemannian metrics, and the other is a summary by Tom Parker and John Lee on the Yamabe problem in conformal geometry. If we get through both, another paper which we might read through (which is mostly analysis, not geometry, although it has tons of geometry applications) is the paper by Richard Hamilton on the Nash-Moser Inverse Function Theorem. All are welcome to attend.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
