“Second Variation Formula, Morse Index and Stability”
We will derive the Second variation formula for a minimal submanifold. After defining the Morse index and Stable Minimal Submanifolds, we will derive the Stability Inequality. As a result, we will prove a theorem due to Simons and another theorem due to Schoen and Yau.
