"The deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation"

In this talk I will introduce the deformed Hermitian-Yang-Mills equation, which is a complex analogue of the special Lagrangian graph equation. I will give an overview of how the equation is defined, and describe some of the main results under a large angle assumption. Furthermore, I will discuss various notions of stability for the equation, concluding with some recent work on how stability can be used to prove existence on some examples with large symmetry.
