“Analytic Foundations of the Teichmller Space”

I shall introduce the main technical concept in an analytic construction of the Teichmller space: that of a quasiconformal map. The definition will be local, so I will need to establish a few analytic lemmas before I can define a global analogue on a Riemann surface. At this point, I will be able to sketch a loose connection between what we have seen so far and what we shall see in the weeks to come.
