“Semisimple Lie Algebras”
Continuing our discussion of semisimple Lie algebras. Recall that a such algebras satisfy L = [L,L], so it acts on any module by “traceless” matrices. This time we’ll examine the irreducible representations of sl(2, F) and introduce to concept of weights.
