The
recent
work
of
Arthur
on
classification
of
automorphic
representations
on
classical
groups
is
a
landmark
result
in
the
Langlands'
program.
In
this
talk
we
will
try
to
indicate
the
nature
of
the
classification
and
the
tools
that
are
used
in
the
proof.
