“K-theory for C*-algebras and vector bundles - Part I”

I will introduce the K0 group for unital C*-algebras and the K0 group for compact Haus- dorff spaces. It is a standard result that every commutative unital C*-algebra is ∗-isomorphic to C(X), the C-valued continuous functions on some compact Hausdorff space X. We will see that for X a compact topological space, the groups K0(X) and K0(C(X)) are isomorphic.
