“Towards the Bombieri-Vinogradov theorem”

In this talk we will describe the Siegel-Walfisz condition (an abstraction of the Siegel-Walfisz theorem) and how it goes into proving results like the Bombieri-Vinogradov theorem. We will also introduce the large sieve inequality for multiplicative characters.
