Pure Math Professor Yu-Ru Liu has been honoured with the University of Waterloo’s Distinguished Teacher Award!
Students and colleagues submit nominations for the award annually in recognition of excellence in teaching. Each year the University of Waterloo selects up to four recipients who demonstrate education impact far beyond the classroom. Inclusive teaching, supportive relationships, lasting influence, and stimulating interest in course materials only name a few.
Professor Liu is known for her thoughtful, organized, and student-centered teaching. She is deeply committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
