"Symmetry and Attractors"

In this talk I am mainly interested in how symmetry or asymptotical symmetry of the underlying domain affects the dynamics of solutions of elliptic equations. To this end, I will consider the trajectory dynamical systems approach which avoids the traditional multivaluedness of the associated semigroups. The dimension of the underlying domain, the interplay between different topologies in the phase space, will play crucial roles in the study of the dynamics of solutions. Some open problems will also be considered.
