You are invited to attend the Friesen lecture, "When Science meets Society: The competition between knowledge and values," featuring Sir Mark Walport, recipient of the 2020 Henry G. Friesen International Prize in Health Research.

Overview: Waterloo.AI and Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) are co-hosting an “AI for Science & Engineering Workshop” with over 20 speakers sharing highlights on how they are using AI to generate new insights for potential breakthroughs. The talks will range from new materials discovery at micro and nano-scale, unconventional computing and quantum computers to applications for environment, water, biosensors and biomedical.

This event is a joint initiative between the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), the Water Institute and Ontario Water Consortium. Join them for a 90-minute event where they will showcase the latest nano-water technology innovation from the University of Waterloo and connect researchers with industry experts.

Please join the Global Summit Launch Event over two days February 22-23 for exciting keynote sessions followed by wider panel discussion co-organized by the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), University of Waterloo and Sydney Nano, University of Sydney.
