Professor Ehsan Toyserkani, a professor of mechanical and mechatronics engineering and a RoboHub collaborator, published a new book titled Metal Additive Manufacturing.

This textbook aims to bridge the gap in the knowledge of additive manufacturing capabilities. It serves as an introduction to principal physical concepts, metal additive manufacturing processes, and their applications.

There is a demand for experts on additive manufacturing who can convey the pros and cons to decision-makers and relate an entry strategy to the industry. Toyserkani holds the Canada Research Chair position in Additive Manufacturing (AM) and has over 20 years of experience in different aspects of AM research and development. He is the Research Director of Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing (MSAM) Laboratory – which focuses on the development of the next generation of AM processes and applications.

This book is dedicated to Dr. Pearl Sulivan (1961-2020), a former Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
