Robohub collaborators develop customized 3D-printed masks

RoboHub collaborators Ehsan Toyserkani and Mihaela Vlasea, the Directors of the Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Lab (MSAM), have worked to create personalized facemasks for front-line workers and patients with autoimmune deficiencies.

Using reusable 3D-produced materials for the mask frame that holds a disposable filter sheet, members of the MSAM lab have produced a number of prototypes based on the design guidelines from Health Canada.
