RoboHub Director William Melek has been interviewed in a two-part article on the impact of collaborative robotics and autonomous systems on the automotive industry in Canada.

The articles discuss how the addition of collaborative robotics to the manufacturing process leads to an increase in the quality of jobs available and helps to ease a chronic labour shortage that continues to affect manufacturing and other physically-intensive jobs.

The ease of use, the safety of nearby workers, and other unique features of these modern cobots are all cited as advances that will enable companies to maintain their existing manufacturing and assembly in the face of these challenges instead of having to outsource or export these jobs and tasks.
