Bike Challenge 2017

It's back! June is Bike Month and with the warm weather finally here to stay for the summer, why not hop on your bike and participate in the Bike Challenge happening throughout the month of June!

CHALLENGES

If you’re an avid biker or just looking to start biking to work or school, participate in the challenges below to have a chance at winning some cool prizes. Every time you participate is an entry into the prize draws!

Challenge #1

Tweet a group/individual bike ride photo with #BikeWR and @uwaterloo

Challenge #2

Log a bike trip on gotravelwise.ca

Challenge #3

Send a bike story with the #BikeWR hashtag on Social Media or email TravelWise@regionofwaterloo.ca

PRIZES

There will be six (6) prizes available to be won for any eligible participants that have submitted an entry to any of the three contests.

Two (2) $50 gift cards for Retail Services at UWaterloo
One (1) $100 MEC gift card
Two (2) Bike gear baskets
One (1) $150 gift card for King Street Cycles

HOW TO JOIN

Challenge 1: Tweet a picture

Tweet a photo or video of your bike ride with #BikeWR. Don't forget to tag @UWaterloo so we can keep track of your photos! Alternatively, you can e-mail your photo to TravelWise@regionofwaterloo.ca. You must have a Twitter account with direct messaging enabled or a valid e-mail address to enter the contest!

Challenge 2: Log your trip

To get started, click on the link below to join the University of Waterloo's user group for students or employees. Once you are registered, you can log in from any computer or mobile phone by visiting gotravelwise.ca

Once you join the appropriate user group insert your bike trip information under "Log your trips" on the dashboard

Select the date of your bike trip under "log your trips". Your trips must occur during the contest period.

Select "log trips" to be automatically entered into the draw.

Challenge 3: Share your story

Send us your bike story at #BikeWR on Twitter and make sure to tag @UWaterloo. You can also e-mail TravelWise@regionofwaterloo.ca to submit your story. You must have a Twitter account with direct messaging enabled or a valid e-mail address to enter the contest!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility

You must be a student and employee at UWaterloo, aged 18 years or older and residing in Ontario.

Entry

All three contests start on June 1st, 2017 and close at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on June 30th, 2017
Each contest allows a maximum of 1 contest entry, per person, per day. If an excess of 1 entry from an individual in a day for a contest occurs, all such entries will be removed from the random prize draw.

Winner Selection

The selected winner will be notified by July 7th, 2017.
The selected winner must answer a skill testing question correctly before obtaining the prize and being declared winner. If incorrectly answered, another entrant will be selected randomly.
Selection of winners is randomized, where chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received
