Beena supports advancing sustainability initiatives on campus as a Sustainability Projects Assistant, such as supporting the Free Store and community garden operations, supporting the implementation of programs and events such as BioBlitz and the Sustainability Literacy Test, and assisting with projects that align with the Environmental Sustainability Strategy related to energy, climate, waste, sustainable transportation, and more.
Beena brings experience from working with Focus on Nature, a nonprofit organization helping youth connect to nature through photography, and as a fourth year Honours Planning student focused on sustainable low-impact development.
