Contractor and commercial parking

General information

Beginning January 1, 2026, the University is updating its contractor parking options and associated costs. Two permit options are available for purchase starting November 1, 2025. The commercial permit allows for parking in reserved parking spots across campus and is not lot specific. The contractor permit allows for parking in the gravel lots only. Alternately, paid parking is available in visitor lots through the AMP Mobile Pay app.

All contractors are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the University of Waterloo parking regulations while operating on University of Waterloo property.

Steps to set up a commercial permit

  1. Contact your University project lead (e.g., the Project Manager or Faculty Executive Officer) who can facilitate pre-approval with Sustainable Transportation
  2. Once a permit has been approved, Sustainable Transportation will contact you to set up a Contractor Account
  3. Once processed, contractors will receive access to the University of Waterloo ePark platform. The ePark account enables users to do the following:
  • View active parking permit(s)
  • See which vehicles are linked to your permits
  • Add or remove vehicles from your account
  • Pay or appeal parking tickets
  • Easily pay for visitor parking through the AMP mobile website

Please note: A maximum of two vehicles can be associated with a permit at any time. Ensure all vehicle information is up-to-date and accurate to avoid any parking issues.

If you already have an ePark account but need help making changes, please contact us.
