Satellite campuses

The University of Waterloo has three local satellite campuses:  

Health Sciences Campus  

Student permit parking is only available in the School of Pharmacy lot for students registered in the Pharmacy program. The cost is $215.79 per term plus taxes ($243.85)

If you know the permit you wish to purchase have previously purchased a parking permit from Waterloo, you can apply using the e-park system, Waterloo’s parking self-service e-commerce solution.

Visitor parking is available at the back of the School of Pharmacy. This is a gated lot. You can obtain a token from the department you are visiting or pay by credit card. The cost of parking is $10.35.   

Employee and Student Permits for this lot are limited. Contact Sustainable Transportation for further information.  

School of Architecture  

Effective May 1, 2025  

  • Introducing Cambridge campus employee parking permits:  

    • Employees who use the parking lot will be eligible for parking permits, which will be provided at no cost from May 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026.  

    • Cambridge lot permits are non-transferable and valid only at the Cambridge campus.  

    • Permits must be displayed in the registered vehicle to avoid ticketing.  

    • Employees can secure a permit by completing the Purchase OR Reactivate a Parking Permit application.

  • Parking enforcement:  

    • Our Parking Enforcement team will routinely visit the lot, with enforcement beginning September 10, 2025.  

Effective September 10, 2025  

  • Introducing Cambridge campus student parking permits:  

    • Eligible students of the Cambridge campus can request a parking permit. The permit will be provided at no cost to the student from September 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026.  

    • Information will be shared with eligible students ahead of the fall term.  

  • Paid visitor parking:  

    • Daily visitor parking rates (6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday) will be $7.25 to match rates at Kitchener and Waterloo campuses.  

    • Visitors, employees, and students without a valid Cambridge parking permit will need to use the AMP mobile app to pay for parking. Find out more about AMP.  

  • Parking enforcement: 

    • Our parking enforcement officers will issue City of Cambridge tickets for non-compliance.  

    • Individuals must display the Cambridge permit or pay for parking using the AMP app to avoid ticketing.  

    • Employees and students displaying a valid Waterloo or School of Health Science parking permit within their registered vehicle will not be ticketed.  

Stratford Campus  

Limited free parking is currently available at the Stratford campus.
