Satellite campuses

The University of Waterloo has three local satellite campuses:  

Health Sciences Campus  

Student permit parking is only available in the School of Pharmacy lot for students registered in the Pharmacy program. The cost is $215.79 per term plus taxes ($243.85)

If you know the permit you wish to purchase have previously purchased a parking permit from Waterloo, you can apply using the e-park system, Waterloo’s parking self-service e-commerce solution.

Parking during 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. is reserved for employees and students with parking permits. Visitors of the School of Pharmacy will receive parking details ahead of their visit. Visitor parking after hours parking is available to the public by credit card through the AMP mobile app.

School of Architecture  

Employee and student permits are currently available at no cost until August 31, 2026. Please note effective September 1, 2026, employees and students will be required to pay for a parking permit. 

  • Cambridge lot permits are non-transferable and valid only at the Cambridge campus   

  • Permits must be displayed in the registered vehicle to avoid ticketing   

  • Employees who work full-time or are on a contract for a minimum period of four months are eligible for a permit. The cost is $56.78 per month plus taxes ($64.16) 

  • Each student is eligible to purchase one unreserved permit per term.  The cost is $225.14 (no tax).   

Daily visitor parking is available via AMP mobile from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The daily rate is currently $7.25 but will be increasing to $10.00 effective May 1, 2026. Hourly rate still applies as posted. Parking payment can be made using a credit card through a secure online transaction and must be completed upon arrival at the University.   

Parking enforcement 

  • Our parking enforcement officers will issue University or City of Cambridge tickets for non-compliance.  

  • Individuals must display the Cambridge permit or pay for parking using the AMP app to avoid ticketing.  

  • Employees and students displaying a valid Waterloo or School of Health Science parking permit within their registered vehicle will not be ticketed.  

Stratford Campus  

Limited free parking is currently available at the Stratford campus.
