As you plan to bring guests to our campus, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Campus Activity: Over 16,000 people attend class, work, or visit the campus throughout the day, every day.
- Parking Availability: There are 5,500 parking spaces on campus, but only 238 are designated for visitors.
- Peak Hours: Most campus parking lots are at capacity from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Advance Planning: Start planning for parking as soon as you know the date(s) of your event. Requests must be made no later than 2 weeks prior to your event, with no guarantee of space availability.
Given the high demand for visitor spaces, planning for parking is crucial to making your guests feel welcome and ensuring a successful event!

Special Event Form
The Special Event Form is available to our campus colleagues to arrange parking for events. Organizers must provide event details at least 2 weeks in advance.
A University of Waterloo username and password is required to access this form. If you do not have a username and password, please contact Sustainable.Transportation@uwaterloo.ca.
