If you’re planning an event or special meeting, you can arrange for reserved permits ahead of time through the Sustainable Transportation office. We have two types of lots where guests can park: gated and ungated lots.
Gated lots A, D, H and R can be reserved by University departments only. Reservations must be made a minimum of 2 business days in advance by emailing Sustainable Transportation. Please include an account number in order to secure your spot.
Reservations can be made for all other open lots by University departments but space cannot be guaranteed. Purchasing a PDF or scratch permit only pre-pays the cost of parking and does not reserve a specific spot. Sustainable Transportation will work to provide a contingency plan in case all spots are full when your guests arrive.
PDF permits
PDF permits are a quick and simple option for guests, as they can be personalized specifically to your event, and emailed and printed ahead of arrival on campus. These permits are available for a specified open lot. Sustainable Transportation will count exactly how many are used, and bill accordingly after the event. To order, please email Sustainable Transportation or visit the Sustainable Transportation office. Sustainable Transportation will respond within 2 business days. We ask for at least 3 weeks notice in order to best accommodate.

Scratch permits
Scratch permits are best when you don’t know the exact date visitors are coming and allow for the option to park in various locations. University departments can also order scratch permits to keep on hand for unexpected or last-minute guests. There are two options:

Scratch permit 1: Lot C, RAC, HSC, Q, N, X, and Toby Jenkins Building

Scratch permit 2: Lots J, S, V, and M

Visitors must come to the office prior to parking, or meet the department liaison on site to pick up their permit. Billing will happen at the time of pick-up.

Incorrectly scratched permits can result in a parking ticket of up to $200.
