Retiree parking

Dear University of Waterloo retirees:

As of May 1, Parking Services has changed its name to Sustainable Transportation and undergone some significant changes related to fees, fines, and lot access. These changes support a necessary update to infrastructure that will better meet our community's needs.

During this transition, an error occurred in the implementation of the parking rate for retirees that has been corrected. As outlined in the University of Waterloo Retirees’ Association and University of Waterloo Memorandum of Agreement, all retirees are eligible for a 25% rate reduction for term permit parking and occasional personal use.Term passes can be purchased at this agreed upon discounted rate.

Retirees who have paid the newly publicized higher rate will be refunded and can expect a phone call with further details about this process. We apologize for any confusion this transition may have caused.

For a full list of parking fees please visit the Sustainable Transportation web page.

We thank you for your patience as we implement these changes to better serve the UWaterloo community. If you have any questions, please email strnsprt@uwaterloo.ca, or call 519-888-4567, extension 33100.

Warm regards,
Jacinda Reitsma, Vice-President, Administration and Finance
