Medical clinicians are sought to serve a 10-month term, one half to one full day per week, as a Clinician-in-Residence in the Biomedical Engineering Program in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
Background
The Clinician-in-Residence (CIR) is a donor-funded initiative in its third year in the Biomedical Engineering Program in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The CIR program will provide an opportunity for biomedical engineering students to engage with and benefit from direct interactions with health care professionals as part of their everyday education. The CIR program will predominantly support undergraduate students, with opportunities to work with graduate students. The Clinician-in-Residence will be invited to share their experiences within the health care system and expertise with students through lectures, one-on-one conversations, and mentorship to enrich and support students engaged with courses and projects focused on addressing health care challenges from a technological perspective.

Qualifications
The Clinician-in-Residence does not need to be a currently practicing health care professional, but should have been practicing within the last five years. They should have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a health care professional. All types of health care professionals will be considered.
