Do you have an innovative idea in med-tech, biotech, health-tech, or engineering? The BioTEC Pitch Competition, taking place on March 1st, 2025 in Waterloo, Ontario, during Canada’s leading student-led conference on biotechnology and bioengineering, is your chance to bring your vision to life.
Open to undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students—or recent alumni (within one year)—this competition welcomes individuals and teams from all backgrounds. Startups are not required to be university-affiliated to be eligible. Applicants must be in the early-stage startup phase.
Applicants will deliver a pitch of approximately 5 minutes, followed by a 3-minute Q&A session with judges.
Submit your application by February 9th, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST (Extended), for the opportunity to present your ideas to a panel of industry leaders, venture capitalists, and experts.
Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, with estimated prizes of $2,000, $1,500, and $1,000 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively. Don’t miss this chance to innovate, inspire, and shape the future!
