Wellness workshop for SYDE grad students

This workshop will be hosted by Renate Donnovan, Community Wellness Officer, Faculty of Engineering. We will explore what wellness is and how to practice wellness as a graduate student. We will touch on matters of culture and community, self-care, and other mental health hygiene practices to help you navigate graduate studies and beyond. Pizza lunch will be provided for those who register. 

About Renate:

In addition to her position as the Community Wellness Officer for the Faculty of Engineering, Renate is also a certified Life Coach and part-time PhD student in the University of Waterloo, School of Public Health. Her research focus is resilience, coping and wellbeing. Warning! Renate is passionate about wellbeing. If you ask her about it, she WILL talk about it (sometimes for hours)!Renate supports initiatives and activities related to the Faculty of Engineering Wellness Framework, as well as provides wellness consulting and support for faculty, staff, and students in departments that do not have a dedicated wellness coordinator.
