This past Saturday, the University of Waterloo campus buzzed with excitement as hundreds of prospective students gathered to explore the university's acclaimed Systems Design Engineering and Biomedical Engineering programs. The event in the expansive Engineering 5 building provided an engaging platform for attendees to delve into the intricacies of these cutting-edge fields.
Prospective students and their families appreciated the opportunity to ask questions at our booths in the E7 2nd floor event space. Testimonials from current students underscored the supportive community and the transformative educational experience offered by the programs.
With lab tours of both E5 and DWE throughout Open House, prospective students spoke directly with lab staff and professors, gained insights into lab work they would perform as students, and viewed some of the hands-on projects our current students create.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to attend a series of informative sessions led by esteemed faculty members. Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall and Dr. John Zelek presented Systems Design Engineering sessions, while Dr. Maud Gorbet and Dr. Ewen MacDonald Engineering presented Biomedical Engineering sessions.
