Igor Ivkovic will be recognized with one of four University of Waterloo Distinguished Teacher Awards at Spring Convocation 2021.
Ivkovic, a lecturer and the associate chair of undergraduate studies in systems design engineering, died last November.
Greatly admired by students and colleagues for his love of teaching, he created an exceptional learning environment and experience for all his students.
The late Igor Ivkovic is one of this year's recipients of the University's Distinguished Teacher Award.
"Dr. Ivkovic’s kindness and passion for teaching remain unmatched," noted one of his students. "This was very evident during the sudden transition from in-person to online teaching.”
Ivkovic completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics and his doctoral degree in software engineering, all at the University of Waterloo. [Full story]
