Sericocarpus oregonensis subsp. californicus

Sericocarpus oregonensis subsp. californicus (Durand) Ferris is native to the Sierra Nevada in California on dry to moist sandy soils in open areas in oak and pine woods, along dry streams, granitic and serpentine barrens at 800–2200 m ele. (Semple and Leonard 2006 FNA).  This is the more hairy subspecies of the S. oregonensis.
