The Centre for Career Action acknowledges that our work is on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our institution is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. The active work by the University of Waterloo toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to educate and inspire all University of Waterloo students (regular and co-op), alumni, employees, and post-docs to develop and take action to achieve current and future career goals. We accomplish this through high quality in-person and online services in partnership with students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff.
Our vision will be realized when career development is an integral component of every University of Waterloo student's university experience and the Centre for Career Action is recognized as a leader in university career education.
