How did the friends you made at UWaterloo inspire you throughout your undergraduate experience?

We inspired each other through all of the hard work and good times. We helped each other throughout.

What is the biggest lesson you learned from co-op?

Practical experience; working with different people including contractors and suppliers and other consultants, owners and government agencies

Environmental market chief and Executive Director for a Consulting firm

Did your undergraduate program play a role in where you are today? How?

100% - the education allowed me to gain an entry level position which ultimately grew to where I am today which is having done a multitude of water, wastewater and solid waste management type of projects across the Country and making a contribution to improving public health and the environment

List 3 lessons you'd like to share with the current undergraduate students.

  1. Balance the academics with practical experience
  2. You will never stop learning throughout your career whether it is technical knowledge or interpersonal skills
  3. Have some fun during your time at University - it is fleeting
