Term Activity Report Awards   

The CEE Department awards students who demonstrate exceptional merit (academic excellence, research excellence, outreach activities etc.) in the previous term. This is for MASc and PhD students, and is based on Activity Reports that are submitted. The minimum eligibility requirements for this award are as follows: 

  • Must be enrolled full time. 

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 80%. 

  • Must not have any incomplete coursework. 

  • Must be within their regular program time limits. 

  • Must have submitted a Term Activity Report for the previous term with a satisfactory evaluation. 

  • Must demonstrate publishing success in the Term Activity Report.
      

TA Excellence Awards   

The CEE Department recognizes the significant role Teaching Assistants play in the ability to deliver exceptional academic programs to our undergraduate students. In recognition of this excellent teaching support, the department has established the CIVE Teaching Assistant Excellence Award. 

The Teaching Assistant Excellence Award is open to any CIVE graduate student who is employed as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Course Assistant (CA) for an undergraduate course taught in any of CIVE’s undergraduate programs. Recipients will be selected based on the Teaching Assistant evaluations.

Civil and Environmental Engineering Funding

The University of waterloo offers merit-based funding to those who demonstrate financial need.
