Engineers Without Borders

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is an organization on campus that invests in Waterloo’s Environmental Engineering students, to help them become tomorrow’s leaders for tackling major challenges of the 21st century.

EWB students learn to lead change by being provided with learning resources and forums, by being challenged to create positive change in collaboration with our peers, and by connecting with a network of like-minded change leaders across Canada.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

UW Civil Engineering Student Receives Gates Cambridge Scholarship

A Civil Engineering grad (BASc 2013) has recently received one of the most prestigious international scholarships available. Musa Chunge was awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship where he will be pursuing an MPhil in Engineering.

There was intense competition for the awards with over 3500 applicants and 51 scholarships offered.  The selection criteria consist of:
