Congratulations to Imre Szeman for being among the Royal Society of Canada’s Class of 2020. Professor Imre Szeman has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), one of Canada’s most distinguished scholarly honours.
Chris Goddard (BA ’01) is the co-founder of Craft Brand Co., a Toronto agency that partners with local brewers to offer globally renowned brews to Ontario beer lovers. University of Waterloo researchers have developed a novel tool that will enable user experience designers to create more effective, personalized games and marketing campaigns.

We are pleased to announce that Stavros Stavroulias has been chosen to represent the Faculty of Arts 2019 graduating class as its valedictorians at the afternoon convocation ceremony on June 12, 2019.
Stavros was selected from a group of nineteen nominees, following a presentation of his speech on Thursday, March 21, to a committee made up of Faculty of Arts students and faculty.
Stavros is completing a Bachelor of Arts joint honours degree in Speech Communication and Medieval Studies.
